Lifestyles and trends have changed over the past 120 years and with those, the changing shape of men’s bodies. What hasn’t changed is our passion and commitment to crafting our shirts to deliver the ultimate in comfort and confidence for all of our customers.
At TM Lewin we have, and continue to, constantly evolve our fits to deliver the best fitting shirt for all men’s body shapes. From narrow waists to barrel chests, sculptured pectorals or well-defined calves, there is not one size fits all and as the ‘founders of fit’ we continue to offer men an almost custom, made to measure shirt through our 4 fits, 7 collars, 3 cuffs and 8 sleeve lengths.
We don’t just simply make a shirt; we engineer a shirt. Every curve of an armhole, every millimetre of a collar point and every shade of a button is meticulously considered, designed, sourced and produced to our consistently high standards that have not once changed since our first shirt was made in 1898. We put all our shirt fits through vigorous approval processes to ensure the perfect fit and ultimate quality involving multiple prototypes, hours of fittings and a team of experts to eventually deliver the perfect TM Lewin shirt.
We pride ourselves on our Jermyn Street roots and to this day our shirts reflect the same standards in quality and make. Every fabric we choose, every detail we add, is a decision made with our customers in mind and to ensure they look their best all day. From the longer tail length to ensure our shirt is kept tucked into the trouser, to the inclusion of the forearm cuff gauntlet button preventing the wrist being exposed, we have created a shirt over the years that not only stays true to the details of a Jermyn Street shirt, but ensures those details bring a relevant function and ease to a man’s wardrobe, whilst staying comfortable and looking smart.
Looking to the future we continue to perfect and evolve our collections and are adopting new clothing manufacturing digital technologies in body scanning and 3D mapping. This will bring opportunity for further customisation and improve manufacturing efficiencies and practices, supporting our efforts in reducing the environmental impacts of traditional product development processes.
